The Leading Edge LE-v150 is a rugged, silent and highly reliable vertical axis wind turbine designed to provide power outputs of up to 200 watts for a host of different battery charging applications. The LE-v150 Standard Kit includes the  DL-300 diversion charge controller to protect the batteries from over-charging.

The wind turbine is connected directly to the batteries and the DL-300 charge controller is also connected to the batteries. When the batteries are fully charged, the controller diverts excess power generated by the wind turbine into the DL-300's resistor, dissipating the power as heat. 

Side-mount the turbine on a standard scaffold pole (to be purchased separately) (48-50mm outer diameter) using 70mm U-bolts.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A 3-4 WEEK LEAD TIME ON WIND TURBINES

The LE-v150 is a bigger brother of the LE-v50 turbine. Because it has a higher output, it is recommended that a DL-300 controller is used with the turbine to prevent battery overcharge. A run / stop switch is not required, but can be used if desired. 

For harsh locations where wind regularly gusts to over 27m/s or temperatures drop down to -40 degrees C, the LE-v150 Extreme turbine is available to choose. This features uprated alternator, polycarbonate cowlings, stainless steel blades for extra strength and is painted black to reduce the build up of rime ice.
